The crown moulding has gone up.  The walls have been painted Dunn Edwards Whisper Eggshell White.  And now it’s time for the floors.  The original white oak floors from the 1930’s are getting their first sanding from the years of some serious abuse and nastiness.

A before and after shows the floors after they were sanded and the after is with 1 coat of ebony stain.  Tomorrow the 2nd coat goes on and we go from there to see how the color looks.  Can’t wait to see the floors in the morning after they have had some time to dry.  The recessed lighting also is finally in as the painting is finished.  Its exciting to think our furniture will be in the house about a week from now after we let the finished floors dry.
